About Netslide

Shift whole rows and columns of a slate conduit tablet. The last tile wraps to the opposite end without turning, changing several connections at once.

Light all nine tiles from the fixed centre, keeping every wire joined and every branch free of loops. Solve 28 tablets, then return to improve your fewest shifts.

How to play

Goal
Light all nine tiles in one network from the centre.
How it ends
Every wire joins its neighbour, with no loose ends or loops.
Record
First-solve time; fewest applied shifts can improve.
  1. Choose a tablet. Tap an edge arrow to shift its entire outer row or column by one tile. The last tile wraps to the opposite end without turning.
  2. The centre row and centre column have no shift arrows. Their other tiles can still move with a crossing outer line. The source at the centre stays fixed.
  3. Join matching wire ends on neighbouring tiles. Wires never connect across the outer edge or through an iron barrier. Light all nine tiles with no loose ends or loops to finish.
  4. Undo applies the opposite shift and counts another shift. Restart asks before resetting the route and keeps the original clock. Any solved route wins; the shortest route is a benchmark.
  5. Your first-solve time stays fixed. Replays can improve fewest shifts. Returning to Boards in the same page keeps the clock running; reload restores the route as practice. Watch shows your first completed route.

Tips

  • Follow the ends A wire facing an outer wall cannot join anything. Move it inward without turning its tile.
  • Use the fixed landmarks Plan around the centre source and iron barriers, then watch which branches each shift changes.

Good to know

Progress stays in this browser. Reload keeps your route but makes time practice. The first clock continues while reading rules, visiting Boards or restarting. There is no time limit; records accept routes of up to 4096 shifts and times up to 24 hours.

Questions

Do wires wrap around the tablet?

No. Tiles wrap when shifted, but wires connect only between neighbouring tiles inside the tablet.

Can I rotate a tile?

No. A shift moves the whole row or column without changing any tile’s orientation.

Must I match the shortest route?

No. Any complete network wins. The shortest route is a benchmark for improving your shift count.
