How to play

Goal
Place one through twenty-five once in the grid, with consecutive numbers touching and every number on its edge-indicated line.
How it ends
The chart is won when all twenty-five squares satisfy both rules; there is no loss.
Record
Your first unassisted solve of each chart earns one fastest-time record; replays are practice.
Worked visual example for 1 to 25
Worked example. See the rule happen, then follow the numbered rules below.
  1. Use every number from 1 through 25 exactly once. The starting 1 is fixed.
  2. An arrow on a side points along its row or column. A corner arrow points along the long diagonal. Each number belongs on its indicated line.
  3. Consecutive numbers must touch by a side or corner. Diagonal links may cross.
  4. Choose an edge number, then tap a square. Shared arrows open a number chooser. You can place numbers in any order.
  5. Choose Erase to clear a square, or use Undo and Redo. Red outlines mark conflicting entries; mistakes remain editable.

Tips for 1 to 25

  • Cross the lines A number must fit both its arrow and its neighbours in the sequence.
  • Work in any order The fixed 1 provides a starting point, but you can place other numbers first.
  • Use the corners A corner arrow has only five possible squares, along its long diagonal.

Questions about this game

Can consecutive numbers touch diagonally?

Yes. Side and corner adjacency both count.

Can diagonal links cross?

Yes. Crossing links are allowed; every number still follows its own arrow.

Does Restart reset the clock?

No. It clears editable entries and keeps the original clock running. Undo can restore the cleared entries.

What happens when I replay?

Replay is untimed Practice and retains your first finish time. Reloaded unfinished attempts remain local while progress and Undo are retained.

All charts and worked diagrams are original. Progress and Undo save in this browser. Reloaded first finishes and detected clock or browser-suspension discontinuities remain local. Unsafe or unavailable storage is reported in-game. This is an independent implementation of the classic 1 to 25 puzzle described by Str8ts.
