About Checkers
Standard American and English checkers on an enchanted oath-table. Ember and Frost pieces carry different flame and star seals, so play never depends on colour alone.
Choose a forgiving Emberling, the Pathfinder, the Warden or the deepest-searching Oracle. Every keeper obeys compulsory captures and complete jump chains; two players can also share one screen.
The 120 always-open Trials come from legal full games. Each has one opening that keeps a win inside the release's verified search horizon, then pits you against the strongest keeper.
Keeper cards remember your independent fewest-move and fastest-time wins. Every Trial also shows named public records for moves and time; only the first solve counts for public time.
How to play
- Move a piece one dark square diagonally forward. Reach the far edge to crown it as a king, which can also move backward.
- If a jump is available, you must capture. Keep tapping the lit landing squares until the complete jump chain ends.
- Win by taking every opposing piece or leaving the other side with no legal move. Repeated or long quiet positions are draws.
Controls

The release reconstructs all 120 Trials from legal full-game origins and independently verifies each unique bounded-search opening. Current play, draw history, records, sound and motion settings persist under morass.checkers.v1. No ads or analytics run inside the game.
