How to play
- Goal
- Join every pair of marked ends with one-cell-wide serpent paths that match the row and column totals.
- How it ends
- A chart completes when every serpent path and edge total is correct; empty X marks are optional. There is no loss.
- Record
- The fastest first solve of each fixed chart is kept.
- Connect every marked end to exactly one other end with an unbroken horizontal or vertical path of scales. The ends do not say which pair belongs together. A serpent may bend; the two scales around one bend naturally meet at a corner. No other part of a serpent may touch itself, and separate serpents may not touch at an edge or corner. In the worked picture, the top row needs three scales: mark the gap between its two ends, leaving the lower serpent separate.
- Each number is the total scale cells in its row or column, including marked ends. Place the serpent scales; the chart finishes when all paths and totals are correct. Other squares may stay blank. Tap a square to cycle unknown → scale → empty → unknown, or drag to paint a stroke. Empty X marks are optional notes.
- Undo removes a whole stroke. Reset clears marks but keeps the clock running. The chart completes when all paths and totals agree; there is no loss.

All 160 charts have stable IDs and exactly one independently verified answer. A 20-chart subset requires cross-serpent separation to remain unique. Empty X marks are optional notes. Private answers and solvers do not ship. First-solve progress uses morass.multi-snake.v1. Sound and reduced motion are saved there too. No ads or analytics run inside the game.
About Multi Snake
In a moonlit fantasy grove, trace several jade serpents between anonymous marked ends. Brass totals along the table edge count every scale, including the ends.
Explore 160 original fixed charts from 5×5 to 8×8. Every chart has one independently proved answer; in 20 charts, the rule that separate serpents never touch is necessary for uniqueness.
The clock starts when a chart opens. An uninterrupted first solve can set the verified public best time, shown beside the clock and on its atlas card.
