About Pinball
Pinball the way the old desktop tables played it — a plunger, two flippers, bumpers and slings, a ramp that swallows a good shot — on ten tables built from the places of Orenvalt: a keep's hearth, a moonlit well, the fey court, a storm tower, a drowned crypt, a dragon forge, a glass forest, an observatory vault, a wyrm's cave and the night city's crown.
Every table is its own machine. Moonwell has a ramp and an orbit with a spinner in it; Thorn Court a wall of five drop targets in front of its bumpers; Storm Spire and Wyrm Gate an upper flipper that feeds their long ramps; Dragon Forge two ramps that cross the table; Star Vault a vault behind a door of seals.
Each table has a quest: a few shots in order, lit on the playfield so you always know the next one. Finish it and the multiplier climbs, up to six times everything. Repeating the same shot pays less each time — the score rewards a player who can hit the whole table.
Score is the only measure. Every table keeps a Top 10, and nothing sends a score: a finished run is sent as the presses you made and played again on the server, so any run on the board can be watched.
How to play
- Pick a table and press Play. Hold the plunger — Space, or the right side of the screen while the ball waits in the lane — and let go; a longer hold launches harder.
- The left and right halves of the screen are the two flippers (or Z and M, or the arrow keys). Hold a flipper up to catch the ball, let it roll, and flip when it is where you want to shoot from.
- The lamps that pulse are the quest's next shot. A lit kickback in each outlane throws one lost ball back; a ball lost straight after its launch comes back once.
- Three balls, and an extra one at the table's mark. A pause gives up the run's place in the Top 10; End run keeps it.
