How to play

Goal
Connect every waystone from 1 to the last number so each arrow points along its link to the next stone.
How it ends
A chart is won when every stone belongs to one consecutive path; there is no loss.
Record
The first unassisted solve of each chart earns one fastest-time record; later solves are practice.
Worked visual example for Signpost
Worked example. See the rule happen, then follow the numbered rules below.
  1. Start at the printed 1 and connect every stone to the next number until you reach the end sigil. Tap a source stone, then a highlighted target along its arrow. The target can be several cells away; the worked example shows 1 linking to 2 across another stone.
  2. Each stone needs one outgoing and one incoming link, except the first and last. Do not close a smaller loop; all stones must become one path. Printed numbers are fixed, while the other numbers appear as chains join them.
  3. A tap outside the selected arrow ray selects that stone as your new source. Unlink lifts a link touching the selected stone. Undo, Redo and Restart let you revise; Restart keeps the first clock running.
  4. All 160 charts are open. Only the first unassisted solve earns a time record for that chart. Returning in the same page keeps an unfinished chart and its original clock; a reload preserves progress as local play.

Tips for Signpost

  • Follow the full ray An arrow can point past its immediate neighbour. Look farther along the row, column or diagonal.
  • Protect the endpoints The printed 1 takes no incoming link, and the end sigil takes no outgoing link.
  • Join chains safely A short closed loop is impossible before every stone belongs to the route.

Questions about this game

May a link pass over another stone?

Yes. Distance along an arrow ray is free; the passed stone still joins elsewhere.

Does restarting reset my time?

No. Restart clears links on the same chart while the original first-solve clock continues.

Must I guess on later charts?

No. Every chart has one exact answer and an independently checked series of forced links.

All 160 charts have one exact rules-based answer and an independently checked no-guess deduction trace. Private witnesses never ship. Progress uses morass.signpost.v1. Only the first solve can rank; replay is practice. No ads or analytics run inside the game.

About Signpost

Inside an Orenvalt observatory, engraved arrows lead a single thread through every waystone. A link may skip over stones as long as it follows the arrow ray; every skipped stone still joins the finished route.

Four open atlas shelves hold 160 original charts. Each has one independently proved solution and a sequence of forced deductions, with no guessing required.

The first solve time stays with each chart. An uninterrupted first clear on the game page can claim the named fastest time; replays are practice.
