How to play
- Goal
- Collect every lantern spark and guide the golem to the shrine.
- How it ends
- The diorama is complete when the golem reaches the shrine with every spark; you cannot fall or lose.
- Record
- Your first solve sets your time; fewest bridge rotations can improve on later visits.
- Tap connected paving to walk toward the stone arch. Every lantern spark must be visited before the shrine can awaken; the first three dioramas teach bridges without sparks.
- Choose a numbered bridge and turn it left or right by a quarter turn. A golem on an arm rides with it; one on the pivot stays at the centre. In the worked picture, an east arm carries its passenger south, beside the shrine landing.
- Drag to look around, or use View and High view. Camera turns and walking cost no rotations. Undo and Reset recover the position but keep spent rotations and the first clock.
- Your first solve fixes the local time. Replays can improve rotations, and named records keep the two axes separately. Reopening after a reload continues the position and local clock; that solve can enter the rotation table but cannot set a first-solve record.

Tips for Golem Steps
- Ride the arm Stand on a bridge arm before turning it to cross a gap.
- Think from the end Work backward from the shrine and connect its landing.
- Par is a target You can finish with extra rotations; replay to improve.
Progress and independent local bests stay in this browser. Each diorama has a verified rotation par; alternative walking routes and final bridge orientations can be valid. The clock continues through Rules, Settings and selector visits. No ads or analytics run inside the game.
About Golem Steps
A little stone golem crosses miniature garden ruins built around L-shaped turning bridges. Ride an arm as it swings, climb the stepped terraces and collect lantern sparks before entering the shrine.
Twenty-four fixed dioramas grow from one bridge to branching, multi-level circuits. Each has an independently proved rotation par. All gardens are open from the start.
Compete for the fastest first solve and fewest bridge rotations separately on each diorama. Walking and camera turns are free.
