How to play
- Goal
- Move the circles along straight, noncrossing routes so every outlined country holds exactly one.
- How it ends
- A chart is won when every circle obeys its distance clue and every country has one circle; there is no loss.
- Record
- The first unaided solve time for each chart is kept, and replaying it is practice.
- Move circles along straight rows or columns until every outlined country contains exactly one. A numbered circle must travel exactly that many cells; a blank circle may travel any distance or stay where it began.
- Routes may cross country borders, but may not bend, overlap, cross another route, or pass through a different circle’s starting cell. Only a route tip determines which country receives that circle.
- The worked picture comes from Chart 001. The 3 at the left has only one open route of length three: it points right into country D. The blank seal below may stay. The picture shows just this first move, so the chart still needs solving.
- Tap a circle, then a glowing destination; tap a blank circle twice to leave it home. Tap a placed circle once to clear and reroute it. Undo, Redo and Restart correct moves; Restart keeps the first clock running. There is no loss, and a replay cannot improve the first time.
Controls
| Tap / click circle | Select its seal or clear an existing route |
|---|---|
| Tap / click glowing cell | Place the selected circle’s straight route |
| Tap blank circle twice | Let that circle stay in its starting cell |
| Arrow keys | Move the board focus |
| Enter / Space | Select or route the focused cell |
| Backspace / Clear | Erase the selected route |
| Z / Shift+Z / Undo / Redo | Reverse or restore a route |
| Restart / R | Clear this chart while preserving its first clock |
| Escape | Cancel selection or close a panel |
| Gamepad | Move focus, route, clear, undo, redo and reach every panel |
All four shelves are open from the start. Look at the destination country as well as the route: a path that reaches one country may block the only way into another. Undo and Redo let you revise a route until the chart is complete.
