About Slitherlink
Classic Slitherlink becomes an Orenvalt ward-drafting rite: draw luminous ink between brass pins on a vellum map in the royal observatory.
Each number tells how many of its four sides belong to the loop. The completed ward is one unbroken loop with no branches, crossings, or smaller closed loops.
All 120 maps are open from the start, growing from 4×4 introductions to 9×9 master charts. Every seeded map is distinct, has exactly one answer, and is independently reconstructed by deduction during every build.
Each map keeps a public top ten for fastest time, with the record holder's name on its atlas card and beside the active map.
How to play
- Draw one closed loop along the brass pins.
- A numbered seal says exactly how many of its four bordering edges are part of the loop.
- Use crosses to mark edges you know are empty; undo and restart are always available.
Controls
| Tap / left click | Cycle an edge through line, cross, and empty |
|---|---|
| Right click / X | Mark an edge with a cross |
| Arrow keys | Move between edges |
| Space / Enter | Cycle the focused edge |
| Z / R / Escape | Undo, restart, or open all maps |
All 120 maps are deterministic, open, exactly-one-solution checked, and deduction-solved. Named time records, completion, current practice map, sound and reduced-motion preference persist in this browser.
