About Peg Solitaire
Classic Peg Solitaire becomes a rite in the Crown Observatory: faceted star-jewels leap between brass celestial sockets, eclipse their neighbours, and kindle a golden shrine.
A legal move jumps one jewel horizontally or vertically over one neighbouring jewel into the empty socket beyond. The eclipsed jewel vanishes. Restore the constellation by leaving exactly one jewel on its marked shrine.
All 120 challenges are open from the start across four observatory wings, from five-jewel lessons to crowded Crown Vault positions. Every challenge is built backwards from its finish, replayed through the browser rules, and independently solved forward to its exact shrine during every build.
Every constellation keeps a named fastest-time record and a public top ten. Moves are not ranked because every successful route necessarily uses starting jewels minus one jumps.
How to play
- Select a star-jewel, then choose a glowing empty socket two spaces away.
- The jewel must leap one neighbouring jewel horizontally or vertically; that neighbour disappears.
- Leave one jewel on the golden shrine. Undo or restart if the remaining jewels become stranded.
