How to play

Goal
Draw one non-crossing loop through every cell so each numbered room has exactly its printed number of turns.
How it ends
The chart finishes when every cell belongs to that single legal loop and every room clue matches; there is no loss state.
Record
Each chart keeps your first solve time, and an uninterrupted first solve can claim the named fastest time.
Worked visual example for Detour
Worked example. See the rule happen, then follow the numbered rules below.
  1. Join neighbouring cell centres with links. Every cell needs exactly two links, forming one connected closed loop.
  2. Each room number counts right-angle turns inside that whole room. Straight passages add no turns.
  3. Zero means every passage in that room stays straight. A blank room has no turn constraint.
  4. Room borders may be crossed. The route cannot branch, cross, skip cells or close separate loops.

Tips for Detour

  • Corners must bend A corner has only two neighbours, so both links are required.
  • Count the room Turns belong to their cells; crossing a room boundary straight adds no turn.
  • Keep one loop Do not close a small loop while other cells remain outside it.

Questions about this game

Does the loop visit every cell?

Yes. Every cell needs exactly two links and all links form one connected loop.

Do room borders block the route?

No. Borders identify which room owns each turn.

What do the small counts beside clues show?

The current turns in that room, calculated from your own links. They do not supply a deduction.

Are the shelves difficulty levels?

No difficulty ranking is promised. The shelves contain two 4×4 charts, fourteen 6×4 charts and two groups of forty 6×6 charts.

Does Restart reset the clock?

No. It clears links and keeps the original first-solve clock. Undo restores the cleared links.

What happens when I replay?

Replay is untimed Practice and preserves your first finish. Reloaded unfinished attempts stay local while links and Undo are retained.

Charts and the worked example are original. Links and Undo save in this browser. The first clock starts when a chart is selected. Reloaded attempts and detected clock or browser-suspension discontinuities stay local. Unsafe or unavailable storage is reported in-game. This is an independent implementation of the classic Detour puzzle rules.
