About Suraromu
Draw a closed route through dashed gates and a circled start. Each gate forces a straight crossing, while its number constrains when the loop reaches it.
Choose from 96 original puzzles across four open shelves, from 5×5 to 6×7. Every puzzle has one answer. Shelf sizes describe the boards rather than a difficulty rating.
How to play
- Goal
- Loop through the circled start and every gate.
- How it ends
- Cross every gate once, straight through, in numbered order.
- Record
- First unaided solve · fastest time.
- Draw one connected loop through neighbouring white cell centres, horizontally or vertically. It must pass through the circled start. Black squares are blocked; other white squares may remain unused.
- A gate is a straight dashed span. Cross every gate exactly once, perpendicular to its span. Do not turn on a gate or follow it.
- The number inside the start circle is the total gate count. Starting there, choose either direction around the loop: numbered gates must occur at their numbered positions. Unnumbered gates also count toward those positions.
- Choose Draw and tap both endpoints of each adjacent link, or drag one link. Begin a fresh pair for each link, selecting a shared endpoint again. Cross adds optional no-link notes. Clear removes links and notes touching a chosen white square.
Controls
| Input | Action |
|---|---|
| Draw, then two adjacent taps or a short drag | Add or remove one loop link |
| Cross, then two adjacent taps or a short drag | Toggle an optional no-link note |
| Clear, then tap | Remove incident links and notes |
| Pan, then drag | Move a chart that does not fit the frame |
| Arrows + Enter / Space | Move the cursor and apply the selected tool |
| D / X / C / P | Choose Draw / Cross / Clear / Pan |
| Z / Y / R | Undo / Redo / open Restart confirmation |
| Escape | Cancel a selection, close a dialog or return to the atlas |
| D-pad + A | Move the controller cursor and apply the selected tool |
| Shoulders / Y / X / Start | Cycle tools / Undo / Clear / Settings |
Tips
- Cross straight A horizontal gate needs a vertical crossing, and a vertical gate needs a horizontal crossing.
- Count every gate An unnumbered gate still occupies a position between numbered gates.
- Leave spare white squares The loop needs every gate and the start, but it can leave other white squares unused.
Good to know
Progress saves in this browser. The first clock starts on chart selection and continues through menus and Restart. Reloads, clock changes or browser suspension make an attempt local only. Practice keeps the original finish. Music and Effects have separate switches.

Questions
Must I visit every white square?
No. Visit the start and cross every gate once; other white squares may remain unused.
Do unnumbered gates count in the order?
Yes. A gate numbered 3 must be the third gate after leaving the start, including any unnumbered gates crossed first.
Which direction should I follow from the start?
Either direction may work. The loop is accepted when at least one direction meets every numbered position.
Can the loop turn on a gate?
No. Cross straight through, perpendicular to its dashed span.
