About Island Puzzle
Mark pale land and blue water on a survey chart. Each number counts the unnumbered land it can reach around bends, while all land must form one connected island.
Choose from 552 original charts in three sizes. Inspect a number’s footprint, combine its count with the island’s connections, and revise marks with Undo.
How to play
- Goal
- Connect all land and make each number reach exactly that many unnumbered land squares.
- How it ends
- Decide every blank as land or water; mistakes can always be revised.
- Record
- Your first solve time is kept for each chart; replays are untimed practice.
- Numbers are permanent land. Decide every blank square as land or water.
- A number counts every unnumbered land square reachable through side-connected land. Paths may turn; count each square once. The numbered square itself does not count.
- Another numbered square stops that number’s count. It still connects land for the whole island.
- All land, including numbered squares, must connect through shared sides. Diagonal contact alone does not connect.
- Water may touch other water, form a 2 × 2 block, touch the edge or be enclosed. A zero reaches no unnumbered land.
- Choose Land, Water or Clear, then tap or drag. Tap a number to inspect its current footprint; complete every count and the island to solve.

- Keep a bridge A land square needed to connect two parts of the island cannot become water.
Good to know
Progress and history save in this browser. The first clock starts when a chart opens and continues through menus and Restart. Reloaded unfinished charts retain local progress and timing but cannot rank publicly. Later solves are untimed practice. Music, effects and reduced motion have separate settings.

Questions
Does a number count in straight lines?
No. Its count follows side-connected land around bends, stopping at water or another number.
Can water touch?
Yes. Water has no extra spacing or shape restriction.
Does another number break the island?
No. It stops a local count but remains land for the global connection.
