About Slash Pack

Draw diagonal walls across numbered paper. Each separated region needs one of every number, and every wall must separate two different regions.

Explore 38 original puzzles with distinct wall patterns across three open shelves. Start with 3×3 charts, then try 4×4 and 5×5 boards with number sets up to five.

How to play

Goal
Divide the board with diagonal lines so every region contains each number from 1 to N exactly once.
How it ends
The puzzle is solved when every region has a full number set and every diagonal separates two different regions.
Record
Your fastest first solve is kept for each puzzle; later solves are practice.
  1. Choose Slash or Backslash, then tap an empty square to draw that diagonal. Printed numbers stay fixed.
  2. Divide the paper into regions, each containing exactly one of every number from 1 to the chart’s maximum number.
  3. Every diagonal must separate two different regions. A wall with both sides in the same region is unfinished.
  4. Walls may meet or branch at grid corners. Regions touching only at a single point remain separate.
  5. Blank dots are optional notes. Erase removes a mark; Undo and Redo let you revise your reasoning. The chart finishes automatically when every rule agrees.

Tips

  • Separate repeated numbers Two copies of the same number must lie in different regions. Look for walls that separate them.
  • Follow both sides Trace each side of a diagonal. If both reach the same region, the wall still needs an extension.

Good to know

Progress and Undo history save in this browser. The first clock starts on chart selection and continues through menus and Restart. Reloads, clock changes or browser suspension make an attempt local only. Practice keeps the original finish. Music and sound effects have separate switches.

Questions

Must every empty square have a diagonal?

No. Empty squares and blank dots are both open paper. Only walls affect the regions.

Do regions connect through a corner?

No. A point contact does not connect their interiors.

May the walls branch?

Yes. Several walls may meet at a corner if each wall still separates two different regions.
