About Sheep and Wolves
Draw a single closed fence across a moonlit pasture. Keep every sheep inside, every wolf outside, and match the numbers printed in the field.
Choose among 440 original puzzles on 4×4, 5×4 and 5×5 grids. Each has one answer. Undo a whole stroke whenever you want to reconsider.
How to play
- Goal
- Draw one fence that keeps every sheep inside and every wolf outside.
- How it ends
- One closed, non-crossing loop must match every numbered cell.
- Record
- First unaided solve · fastest time.
- Choose Line and tap or drag between neighbouring posts to place fence rails.
- Make one closed loop. It cannot branch, cross itself, touch itself at a post or split into separate loops.
- Every sheep must be inside the fence; every wolf must be outside. The fence may run along the outer edge of the field.
- A number gives the exact count of rails around that cell, from zero to four.
- Cross marks a side you think is unused. Crosses are optional reminders, and Erase removes a mark.
- Finish the loop and satisfy every clue to complete the puzzle.

Tips

- Separate neighbours A sheep and a wolf in adjacent cells need a rail between them.
- Follow the posts Every used post must eventually connect exactly two rails.
Good to know
Progress saves in this browser. The first clock starts when you open a puzzle and continues through menus and Restart. Reloaded attempts and changed clocks stay local. Practice keeps your original finish. Music and Effects have separate switches.

Must I mark every unused side?
No. Cross notes are optional; only the fence determines completion.
May the fence use the edge of the field?
Yes. Outer edges are legal fence positions.
Can there be several loops?
