About Scripts of Power

Program a fantasy hero before the fight begins. Arrange steps, turns and spells into a script, then watch it meet creatures with their own movement and attacks. Pause, inspect what happened and revise your plan.

Choose the Rune-blade, Grove-caller, Battle-wizard or Engineer. Each has different spells and resources, with rewards that shape your build across 200 rooms in 10 regions.

How to play

Goal
Program your hero to defeat every creature in the room.
How it ends
A room is won when every creature is defeated; if your hero falls or your script cannot finish the fight, edit it and try again.
Record
This browser saves your scripts, builds, rewards and personal bests; eligible wins can enter the online leaderboards.
  1. Choose a hero and open First light. Read the room reference, or watch the creatures before writing.
  2. Add movement, facing and spell tiles to your script. Every step and turn must be written; your hero does not chase enemies automatically.
  3. Press Play to run the script. Pause or step one turn at a time to inspect the fight.
  4. Defeat every creature while staying alive. If the script fails, return to editing and try again without losing your build.
  5. After a first clear, choose a new spell, a spell rank or a passive reward. Replays improve records without granting more rewards.
  6. Use repeats, conditions and named rites as your scripts grow. Aim for fewer turns, instructions or rows, or more HP left.

  • Read the combat log A missed spell, blocked step or cooldown explains why a plausible script failed.

Good to know

Progress is saved in this browser, separately for each hero and build. Clearing browser data removes local saves. The browser edition has no ads. Online records use server replay verification; a connection problem does not stop local play.

Questions

Can I control the hero during combat?

You control playback, but the hero follows the script you wrote. Edit the script to change its actions.

Do I need programming experience?

No. Start with picture tiles for simple actions; text editing and larger control structures are available when you want them.
