About Rune Pyramid
The classic hop-the-pyramid arcade game, on the floating rune shrines above the clouds. You are a harengon rune-keeper: every cube of the pyramid carries a sleeping rune, and each hop you land on one wakes it. Wake them all and the pyramid is cleared.
Tap the cube you want to hop to, or use Q, E, Z and C. Ember orbs roll down from the top and are deadly; a purple egg rolls to the bottom and hatches a serpent that hunts you, and the floating discs beside the pyramid carry you back to the summit while the serpent follows you over the edge. Pixies dim the runes you have woken, so stomp them; a frost orb freezes everything for a few seconds, and in the later ascents spiders crawl across the faces.
There are 120 pyramids in eight ascents, starting gently with one hop to a rune and a few orbs, then adding the serpent, runes that need two hops, runes that turn back if you land on them again, broken and twin-peaked pyramids, and faster enemies. Every pyramid was cleared by a planning bot before it shipped, and each keeps two Top 10s, best score and fastest clear; every run on them is re-played by the site before it is ranked.
How to play
- Goal
- Turn every rune on the pyramid gold.
- How it ends
- The pyramid is cleared when the last rune turns gold; the run is lost when the last of three lives is lost to a hop into the air, an ember orb, the serpent or a spider.
- Record
- For every pyramid, the ten best scores and the ten fastest clears, each proved by replaying the run.
- Tap a cube next to the rune-keeper to hop there, or press Q, E, Z, C (up-left, up-right, down-left, down-right); the arrow keys work too, turned a quarter: up is up-right.
- Every rune you land on wakes; the rule under the counters says whether one hop or two lights it, and whether landing on a lit rune turns it back.
- Dodge the orbs, the serpent and the spiders, stomp the pixies, ride a disc to lure the serpent off, and don't hop into the air.
Controls
| Tap a cube | Hop there |

The pyramid's cubes, runes, discs and every figure are Blender renders of models and textures from the Morass warehouse: the rune-keeper is its harengon, the enemies its naga, fey pixie and fire spider, each rendered in the four isometric facings. The simulation uses whole numbers only and a run is just the hops the rune-keeper took, so every browser plays it back identically and the records worker re-plays each one before it enters a Top 10.
