About Reversi
Classic Reversi becomes an Orenvalt moonwell: ivory sun seals, indigo moon seals, brass constellations and rippling magical captures on an archivist's observatory table.
The 120 always-open Moonwell Trials are reachable positions taken from legal games. Exact search keeps only puzzles with one winning opening against perfect resistance; the first listed move is deliberately not that answer.
Every trial has a named fastest-time top ten on its card and in play. Three casual computer rivals and a same-device two-player duel provide full games from the standard opening.
How to play
- Place a sun seal so one or more moon seals lie in a straight line between the new seal and another sun. Every trapped seal turns.
- Win a Trial by finding its single winning opening and finishing ahead against the exact rival. If one side has no legal move, its turn passes automatically.
- Corners can never turn. Keeping choices open is usually stronger than taking the most seals immediately.

All 120 trials are open, distinct, reachable from the canonical opening, exact-solved and witness-replayed during every build. Trial witnesses are excluded from the public bundle. Sound, completions and personal margins persist in this browser.
