How to play

Goal
Tip the two-unit rune-stone across the causeway and stand it upright on the glowing socket.
How it ends
A chamber clears only when the stone stands on the socket; an unsupported tip is refused, so there is no loss.
Record
Your first clear time and fewest legal tips are kept separately for each chamber, with verified best results and their holders.
Worked visual example for Rolling Stone
Worked example. See the rule happen, then follow the numbered rules below.
  1. Choose a chamber, then use a direction button, swipe, arrow key or WASD to tip the stone. Upright to flat covers two spans. Flat stones move one span sideways, or stand when tipped along their length. The worked picture shows the first of these changes.
  2. Both halves must be supported. A direction toward missing stone is refused without using a tip. A flat stone lying over the socket does not finish; it must stand upright there.
  3. Undo reverses one tip and Restart restores the same opening pose. Neither pauses the first-open clock. A first clear can rank for time; any later clear may improve the fewest-tips record, while the first time stays fixed.

Tips for Rolling Stone

  • Count the footprint A standing stone lands across two spans; a flat one needs support under both halves.
  • Approach upright The socket only opens when the stone stands on it. Plan the final lengthwise tip.
  • Try the other axis Sideways movement of a flat stone can carry it around a missing span.

All 160 fixed chambers have independently verified shortest routes. Every legal route that ends upright on the socket counts; the records Worker replays submitted tips. Progress uses morass.rolling-stone.v1. The first clear time is ranked only from the original live session, while later clears can improve tips. No ads or analytics run inside the game.

About Rolling Stone

A carved monolith crosses a moonlit basalt causeway one deliberate tip at a time. Upright it covers one span; laid flat it covers two. Only a standing arrival opens the gold star socket.

All 160 original chambers are available from the start, arranged in four shelves from compact five-by-five courtyards to deeper eight-by-eight ruins. Each has an independently checked shortest route, and longer legal routes still clear.
