About Water Sort
A lamplit alchemist's bench holds layered reagents in transparent glass phials. Pour the complete upper band into an empty vessel or onto the same colour until every filled phial is pure.
Empty phials are working space, not a shortcut. Plan the order of each pour, unwind mistakes freely, and watch the luminous reagent travel from glass to glass.
All 120 deterministic formulae are open from the start, across six shelves from three to eight colours. Every opening is generated backwards from a solved rack and its completion witness is replayed through the shipped rules before the build can pass.
Every formula keeps two independent public records—fastest time and fewest moves—and shows the name of each holder. Undo, restart, and resumed attempts remain playable but do not enter the public records.
How to play
- Choose a phial, then choose an empty phial or one whose top reagent matches. The whole matching band pours, up to the available space.
- Finish with every non-empty phial full and containing a single colour.
- Use the Formula shelf to jump directly to any of the 120 open boards. Tier buttons at its top jump between difficulty shelves.
- Undo and restart are unlimited. They make the current attempt assisted, so it stays out of the public time and move records.
