About Moonlit Menagerie

Restore a sanctuary beneath Orenvalt’s twin moons. Place fluttering moths, embernewts, moonhares and other magical residents among moonblooms, pools and mossy stone. Flowers glow, eggs warm and the garden comes alive as its neighbors settle.

Each of the 120 sanctuaries is a placement puzzle. A moth can light a flower and comfort several friends, but a griffin next door frightens a hare. Fit the whole community together using the residents in your tray.

How to play

Goal
Settle every creature, light every moonbloom and warm every egg.
How it ends
A sanctuary is restored when all residents and garden needs are satisfied; mistakes can always be undone.
Record
Each sanctuary keeps the fastest first restoration time, with its holder’s name.
  1. Choose a sanctuary. Select a resident, then tap a habitat bed to place it. Use every resident in the tray; locked residents are fixed in place and their needs still count. Beside means sharing a side, never a diagonal.
  2. Moonmoths need meadow beds beside moonblooms. Embernewts need waterside beds beside eggs. Every bloom must have a moth beside it and every egg a newt.
  3. Moonhares need meadow and a moth beside them, with no neighboring griffin. Griffin cubs use meadow or stone beside a rock and need separation from other griffins.
  4. Dew wisps need waterside beds beside moths. Moss tortoises use meadow or stone beside a wisp, away from neighboring newts. One neighbor can help several residents or flowers.
  5. Amber marks show an unmet need. You may leave an unhappy creature in place while planning. Erase returns it to the tray; replacing a resident refunds the old one. Undo and Redo restore your changes.
  6. Restore the garden by meeting every need. The clock begins on first opening and does not reset with Restart. Only a first uninterrupted restoration can rank; reopened attempts and replays are local.

Tips

  • Build around helpers A single moth can light a bloom and support several neighboring hares or wisps.
  • Keep cool neighbors A tortoise needs wisp mist, but a newt beside it is still too warm.

Good to know

All 120 sanctuaries are open. Positions, Undo history and first restoration times stay in this browser when storage is available. Reopened attempts, replays and unavailable exclusive sessions are local. Music and effects have separate switches; Reduce motion keeps feedback with less movement. No account is needed.
