How to play
- Goal
- Measure the glowing target amount in any vessel by filling, emptying, or pouring until one vessel empties or another fills.
- How it ends
- There is no loss; you can undo or restart and still finish the measure.
- Record
- Your first finish keeps its time; an uninterrupted first solve may rank for time, while any unassisted solve may improve the moves record.
- Tap a vessel to select it. Fill brings it to its printed capacity; Empty drains it. Tap a second vessel to pour as much as fits. A pour always stops when the source empties or the destination fills; you cannot choose a partial amount.
- The worked example pours from a vessel holding 5 into one holding 1 with capacity 3: exactly 2 crosses, leaving 3 and 3. Use the number left behind and the free space in each vessel to plan your next move.
- Make the target appear in any vessel to finish. There is no loss. Undo takes back a move and Restart returns to the empty opening, with the original clock still running; either makes the current attempt ineligible for named records. All shelves remain open.

Every measure starts with empty vessels. A completed measure saves locally under morass.water-jugs.v1. A resumed attempt and a run using Undo or Restart remain playable but do not enter named records. The bundle ships no shortest-route answers. Sound and music use the arcade-wide switches; there are no ads or analytics inside the game.

About Water Jugs
At an Orenvalt wellkeeper’s moonlit aqueduct, etched glass vessels hold different whole measures of water. Find the glowing target using only complete fills, complete empties and pours that stop when the source is empty or the receiving vessel is full.
All 160 fixed measures are open across four shelves. Each has an independently proved shortest route; the later shelves add three-vessel puzzles where every shortest route needs all three. A detour still finishes, and Undo or Restart lets you try a new approach.
Your first finish time stays in this browser. An uninterrupted first solve can hold the named time record; any unassisted solve, including a later replay, can improve the fewest-moves record.
