About Star Battle
The classic Star Battle — the puzzle LinkedIn plays as Queens — laid out on a cosmographer's chart in the Star-Hall of Veldrenmar: indigo vellum, constellations fenced in gold ink, and gilded stars that kindle when you set them.
Put stars on the chart so that every row, every column and every constellation holds the same number of stars, one on the one-star charts and two on the two-star charts, and no two stars ever touch, not even at a corner.
All 160 charts are open from the first visit, across eight rooms from 5×5 one-star charts to 11×11 two-star charts. Every one is proven to have exactly one answer by an independent count, and to be solvable by named reasoning with no guess anywhere.
Each chart keeps a named fastest time and a public top ten. The folio and the live clock both print the record and who holds it.
How to play
- Tap a cell to veil it (your mark for “no star here”), tap again to set a star; drag to veil a run of cells.
- Every row, column and gold-walled constellation holds the same number of stars: one on ★ charts, two on ★★ charts.
- No two stars touch, not even diagonally — a star veils the eight cells around it for you.

All 160 charts are open, deterministic, proved to need no guess and independently counted to one answer. There is no hint and no mistake check beyond the rules you can see: the built page ships no solver. Named fastest times, completion, kept attempts, sound and reduced-motion preference persist in this browser.
