How to play

Goal
Shade or clear entire outlined tiles so every rightward and downward clue counts exactly the shaded cells before the next plaque or board edge.
How it ends
The chart is solved as soon as all clue counts agree; there is no loss state.
Record
The fastest first solve of each chart is kept as a public record, with its holder's name.
Worked visual example for Tilepaint
Worked example. See the rule happen, then follow the numbered rules below.
  1. Tap any square to shade or clear its entire outlined tile. A split brass plaque stays clear. Its upper-right number counts shaded squares to its right; its lower-left number counts shaded squares below it. Each sightline stops before the next plaque or the board edge.
  2. In the worked example, one bent tile crosses both counted lines twice. Filling that whole tile makes both plaques show two of two. The large number is the target and the small badge is your current count; jade means exact and red means over.
  3. Leave unused tiles clear; no X marks or Check button are needed. Undo restores a move. Restart clears ink without resetting the first-opening clock. A chart completes automatically when every sightline agrees; there is no loss state. Replays are untimed practice. Returning to the atlas in the same page keeps the clock and public record chance; reloading an unfinished chart keeps its marks but makes its first finish local only.
