How to play
- Goal
- Draw one diagonal in every square to match the numbered corners without closing a loop.
- How it ends
- A chart is complete when every square has a diagonal, every clue is met, and the lines form no loop; there is no loss.
- Record
- The fastest first solve of each chart is kept locally and on the public board.
- Draw one diagonal in every square. A numbered corner must touch exactly that many diagonals. Separate paths may branch or end, but no path may form a closed loop. The worked picture shows a 0 forcing a ray away and four rays forming a forbidden ring.
- Tap a square to cycle empty, backslash, slash and empty. The direction tools place a chosen ray directly; tapping the same chosen ray again erases it. Silver numbered pins still need nearby tiles; gold pins are settled; red pins or rays need correcting.
- Undo restores a mark. Restart clears the chart without resetting its first clock. Complete every tile, match every pin and leave no loop to finish automatically. A replay is untimed practice and keeps the original first time.

All 160 fixed charts have one independently verified acyclic answer and become ambiguous without the no-loop rule. Private witnesses do not ship. First-solve progress uses morass.slant.v1; sound follows the shared site setting. No ads or analytics run inside the game.
About Slant
In a star-filled observatory, sketch diagonal moonbeams across a slate survey. Engraved corner pins count the rays that reach them.
Explore 160 stable charts across four shelves. Each has one independently proved answer, and every chart needs the no-loop rule.
Your first completion time stays in this browser. An uninterrupted first solve may claim the named public best for its chart.
