How to play
- Goal
- Shade one connected group of four squares in each chamber; all shaded squares must connect, identical L/I/T/S shapes in different chambers cannot share an edge, and no 2×2 block can be fully shaded.
- How it ends
- A chart is solved when the shaded pattern satisfies every rule; there is no loss state.
- Record
- The fastest first solve of each chart is kept as a public record, with its holder's name.
- Place exactly four edge-connected glass squares in each outlined chamber. Their shape must be an L, I, T, or S. Matching shapes in different chambers cannot share an edge, even when rotated or reflected. All glass squares must form one connected network, and a full dark 2×2 is forbidden.
- The worked picture completes an I shape beneath a T. Shade the question square: the two unlike shapes join without making a dark 2×2. Tap any square to cycle glass, pale note, and clear. Pale notes are optional; only the glass pattern is needed to finish.
- Undo reverses one mark. Restart clears marks without resetting the first clock. Replays are untimed practice. Returning through the atlas keeps the first clock, while reloading an unfinished chart makes its finish local only.
Controls
| Tap / click a square | Cycle glass, pale note and clear |
|---|---|
| Arrow keys | Move focus around the chart |
| Enter / Space | Cycle the focused square |
| B / W / Backspace | Shade, mark pale or clear the focused square |
| Undo / Z | Restore the previous mark |
| Restart | Clear all marks without resetting the first clock |
| Escape | Close a panel or return to the atlas |
Every chart has one independently verified answer and a bounded forced deduction trace. Private witnesses stay in the build inputs. Saves use morass.lits.v1; sound follows the shared arcade setting. No ads or analytics run inside the game.
About LITS
Restore star-glass in the chambers of an observatory mosaic. Each brass outline must hold one four-square L, I, T, or S shape.
The 160 compact charts have one independently verified answer and a forced deduction path. Later charts make the global connection rule matter.
Your first finish time stays in this browser. An uninterrupted first solve can claim the named public best for its chart.
