About Tetravex
On a candlelit cartographer’s table, carved tablets carry a number on each edge. Set them into the brass chart so every touching pair of numbers agrees. A wrong fit glows red; matching seams glow green.
All 240 fixed charts are open from the start: forty 2×2, one hundred twenty 3×3 and eighty 4×4. Each has one independently verified arrangement. Tap a tablet and a socket to place or swap it; Undo and Restart let you change course without losing your place.
The clock begins when you open a chart and continues across return visits. Your first solve time is saved. Each gallery card and the active chart show the verified public best and its holder; the game page trophy shows the rankings.
How to play
- Goal
- Place every tablet so all touching edge numbers match.
- How it ends
- A chart is won when every socket is filled and every shared edge agrees; there is no loss.
- Record
- Your first-solve time is kept for each chart, with a verified public best beside it and on the page trophy.
- Tap a loose tablet, then tap an empty chart socket to place it. Tap an occupied socket or a tray socket to swap or return tablets. Tablets never rotate.
- Numbers on touching edges must match. Red outlines show disagreements; green outlines show matching seams. Fill every socket with all shared edges matching to seal the chart.
- Undo reverses one placement. Restart returns the tablets to the tray but keeps the clock running. Only your first solve can set a time record.
