About Hearthfields

Turn each hexagonal tile until its meadow, grove, field and hamlet edges meet the land beside it. Streams and cart roads must join up. Match all six sides for a perfect tile and another tile in the stack.

Wake 210 vales across 10 regions, from the spring Greenmarch to snowbound Frostfold. Each region adds a rule: wisp lanterns, fey rings, ruins under the fog, mines, harbours, windmills and hearth fires. Every vale has a goal and three stars; an endless Wander waits beside the campaign.

How to play

Goal
Meet each vale's goal before its stack of tiles runs out, turning tiles so their edges meet matching land.
How it ends
A vale ends when its stack is empty or no tile fits; it is won if the goal was met, and if not you simply try again.
Record
Keep your highest score and stars for each vale, and the ten highest scores on every vale.
  1. Choose a glowing slot beside the land already laid. Turn the tile in hand until its edges meet matching land: each matching edge scores 10.
  2. A tile whose six edges all match is perfect: 60 points and one more tile in the stack. Streams and roads must connect to a stream, lake or road.
  3. Quest numbers float over their groups. Grow a grove, field or hamlet to exactly that size, or at least that size and closed for a 7+ quest, to earn 100 points and more tiles.
  4. Meet the vale's goal before the stack runs out. Higher scores earn the second and third stars, and stars open new regions.
  5. Undo is free. The next two tiles are always shown under the one in hand.

Tips

  • Leave room for streams A stream edge only meets a stream or a lake. Keep a free slot where the next stream tile can join.
  • Watch the next tiles The two tiles under your hand are coming next. Save a gap that fits them.
  • Close quests on purpose An exact quest breaks if two groups merge past its number. Grow the group one tile at a time near the end.

Good to know

Progress stays in this browser. A vale in progress resumes after a reload. Won vales can enter the verified top ten; Wander keeps your best score only.
