How to play
- Goal
- Shade cells in the chambers so each number counts its shaded cells, no shaded cells share an edge, all pale cells connect, and no straight pale run crosses two room borders.
- How it ends
- A chart is solved when the shaded cells satisfy all four rules; there is no loss state.
- Record
- The fastest first solve of each chart is kept as a public record, with its holder's name.
- Each room number tells how many cells to shade inside its brass walls; a room without a number has no quota. Shaded cells never share an edge. All unshaded cells must connect by edge steps, and a straight run of unshaded cells may cross at most one room border.
- The worked picture shows a pale corridor stretching through three rooms. Shade its undecided tile to break the run before it crosses the second brass wall. Tap a tile to cycle shade, pale note and clear. Pale notes are optional; only the shaded pattern matters for completion.
- A chart completes when all four rules hold. Undo reverses the last mark; Restart clears marks without resetting the first clock. Replays are untimed practice. Returning through the atlas keeps the first clock, while reloading an unfinished chart makes its finish local only.

All 160 fixed charts have one independently verified answer and a separate bounded deduction trace. Removing the two-wall corridor rule makes every chart ambiguous. Private witnesses stay in the build inputs and do not ship. Saves use morass.heyawake.v1; sound follows the shared arcade setting. No ads or analytics run inside the game.
About Heyawake
Draw shade across the blue-grey marble of a moonlit manor. Brass walls divide its rooms, while the unshaded floor forms one connected hall.
Each of the 160 original charts has one independently verified answer. A separate deduction trace finishes every chart without open guessing.
Your first finish time stays in this browser. An uninterrupted first solve can claim the named public best for its chart.
