How to play
- Goal
- Shade cells so each numbered corner counts the shaded cells touching it and all pale cells form one connected creek.
- How it ends
- A chart opens when every corner count and the creek connection are correct; mistakes can be changed and there is no loss state.
- Record
- The time of the first unaided solve of each fixed chart is kept locally and may rank publicly.
- Tap a cell to place or clear a basalt stone. A numbered brass seal sits where grid lines cross and counts the shaded cells touching it: four in the middle, two on an edge, one at an outer corner. Match every count exactly.
- The worked picture shows an outer corner marked 1. It touches only one square, so that square must be shaded; the remaining pale cells still connect.
- Every unshaded cell must join the others through shared sides into one creek. Stones may touch; they need not connect. Pale notes are optional and unmarked cells count as pale. Undo restores a mark, and Restart clears marks without resetting the first clock. A reload keeps an unfinished chart local only; replays are untimed practice. Public records accept first-solve times up to 24 hours.

All 160 charts have one independently verified answer; a separate bounded deduction trace finishes each without guessing. Removing the pale-connectivity rule gives alternate answers on all 160. Private witnesses stay outside the build. Saves use morass.creek.v1; sound follows the shared arcade setting. No ads or analytics run inside the game.

About Creek
At the Rootwell Aqueduct, set basalt plugs into a pale channel under ancient roots. Each brass seal at a grid intersection counts the stones touching it.
Work through 160 original charts with one independently proved answer each. A separate elementary deduction trace finishes every chart without a guess.
Your first finish time stays in this browser. An uninterrupted first solve can claim the named public best for its chart.
