How to play
- Goal
- Shade cells so every border seal shows the correct dark, light or tied majority, and each room is solid or split evenly into connected dark and light areas.
- How it ends
- A chart completes when its shaded cells satisfy every seal and room rule; there is no loss.
- Record
- Your first solve time is kept for each chart, and the fastest verified first solve appears with its holder.
- Tap a stone to shade it dark; tap again to clear it. A seal on an interior edge touches two cells, while a seal at an interior corner touches four. Dark ◆ asks for more dark cells, light ◇ asks for more light cells, and silver = asks for equal numbers. The worked example shades one top cell to satisfy all three kinds of seal.
- Each brass-outlined room is either all dark, all light, or evenly split. In a split room, each colour must form one edge-connected patch. Empty cells count as light; an optional light note is for your planning and does not affect the answer. A glowing seal agrees with the current pattern, which can still change as you play.
- Undo restores the previous mark. Restart clears marks while the clock keeps running. A chart completes automatically when every seal and room agrees; there is no loss. Replays are untimed practice.

Every chart has a stable ID and one independently verified answer. Removing either the room-balance or within-room connectivity rule makes each chart ambiguous. Private witnesses and deduction traces do not ship. Saves use morass.hanzenpeinto.v1; sound follows the shared site setting. No ads or analytics run inside the game.

About Hanzenpeinto
In a moonlit Orenvalt scriptorium, brass seams divide a stone mosaic into little chambers. Dark ink and pale moonlight answer the wax seals at each edge and crossing.
Explore 160 original charts across four open shelves. Every chart has exactly one independently proved shading and a no-guess deduction trace; the room balance and connected-colour rules both matter.
Your first solve time stays in this browser. An uninterrupted first solve can claim the verified public best shown beside the clock and on every chart card.
