How to play
- Goal
- Pair every pale circle with one dark circle using straight horizontal or vertical threads that do not cross or pass through another circle.
- How it ends
- A chart is complete when every circle has exactly one partner and all threads obey those rules; there is no loss.
- Record
- Your first solve time is kept per chart, and the fastest verified first solve appears with its holder.
- Pair every pale moon with one dark sun. A thread must run straight along a row or column, cannot pass through another circle, and cannot cross another thread. Every circle has exactly one partner; empty squares may remain unused. The worked picture shows one valid thread already placed, then the second pair joined.
- Tap a circle, then an eligible opposite circle to weave. Dragging between the two circles is another way to make the same link. Tap a linked circle to lift its thread. A rejected move names the rule it would break.
- Undo lifts your last thread. Restart clears the loom but keeps the clock running. A chart finishes as soon as every circle is legally paired; there is no loss.

Every chart has a pinned identity and one independently proved full matching; the crossing rule is necessary in at least 24 charts per shelf. Saved first solves are local, while only an uninterrupted first session can submit a public time. Progress and reduced motion use morass.shirokuro.v1; sound uses the shared site setting. No ads or analytics run inside the game.
About Shirokuro
At the moonwell sanctuary, a Veil Loom holds pale moons and dark suns over indigo cloth. Join opposite circles with straight luminous threads. The brass frame and quiet chimes bring each link to life.
Explore 180 original charts: sixty each on 5×5, 6×6 and 7×7 looms. Every chart has one independently proved solution; later shelves use longer sightlines and crossings that make the choice matter.
Your clock starts when a chart opens. An uninterrupted first solve can set the public best time shown with its holder on every chart card.
