About Word Guess

Find the hidden word in six guesses. Each letter shows whether it is correct, belongs elsewhere or is absent. Symbols accompany the colours so every clue is readable without colour alone.

How to play

Goal: Guess the hidden word.
How it ends: You win by finding it within six tries; after six, the word is shown.
Record: The fastest first solve of each level, and its fewest guesses.

Type a real word and press Enter; a word the dictionary does not know costs nothing.
Gold (notched): right letter, right place. Blue (ringed): in the word, elsewhere. Dark: not in the word.
Solve it within six tries. Strict mode, in Settings, makes you use every hint.
