About Trebuchet
The physics siege game in the Angry Birds tradition, on the marches of the Wardenmarks. A wooden trebuchet stands at one end of the field and a goblin keep at the other: timber posts and lintels, frost glass, stone courses, powder kegs and towers on hills. Pull back, let fly, and watch it fold. The keep falls when its last goblin does.
The physics are exact. Every piece is a rigid body in a small engine written for this game, and it uses only arithmetic that every browser rounds the same way, so the same aim on the same keep brings down the same pieces in the same order, every time and everywhere. Earlier shots stay drawn on the field, so a near miss is something to correct, not to retry and hope.
There are 120 keeps in eight marches, from timber palisades to the Warlord's citadel, with four loads: the boulder; scatter stones, which split in flight; the iron ball, which is hard on stone; and the fire pot, which bursts. Every keep was proved by search to fall within its par of shots, along a line where nearby aims do the same, and a march runs from its easiest keep to its hardest. Each keep keeps a Top 10 for best score and one for fewest shots, and the site replays every siege before it keeps a place.
How to play
- Goal
- Topple every goblin in the keep with the loads you are given.
- How it ends
- The keep is won when the last goblin falls, and lost when your loads are spent with any still standing.
- Record
- The best score and the fewest shots for each keep.
- Drag back anywhere on the field and let go: the load flies the other way, harder the longer the pull. The dotted arc shows the start of the flight. Or aim with ↑ ↓ and ← → and loose with Space.
- Tap (or press Space) while scatter stones or a fire pot is in the air to split or burst it.
- Topple every goblin before your loads run out. Fewer shots win more stars and more points: each load left is worth 10,000.

The trebuchet is a Blender render with an ink line; the goblins and the loads were drawn for the game and the backdrops are warehouse paintings, all placed in the Morass warehouse; the sounds are warehouse recordings. A siege is sent as its shots alone, and the records worker plays them again with the same physics before it ranks the score. Your progress stays in this browser under morass.trebuchet.v1. No ads or analytics run inside the game.
