About Snake

Steer a growing ward-serpent around a cistern floor. Each mote makes it longer and faster. Leave yourself a route past your own tail and the chamber’s walls.

How to play

Goal
Steer the serpent onto motes and grow as long as you can.
How it ends
The run ends when the serpent runs into its own body or a sealed wall.
Record
The ten longest runs in each chamber: the number of motes eaten.
  1. Pick a chamber size and a kind of wall, then press Play. The serpent starts on its own after a moment.
  2. Arrows or WASD turn it; on a phone, swipe across the floor or use the four ward-stones underneath.
  3. Two turns can be waiting at once, so a corner taken quickly still happens.
  4. Every mote is one more segment and a slightly faster step. Run into your own body — or a sealed wall — and the run is over.

Good to know

Six chambers, each with its own board of ten. A held run keeps your own best but no place on the board. Sound, motion and progress are saved in this browser.
