How to play
- Goal
- Paint every unnumbered square ivory or ink so each numbered window sees its exact count of matching plain squares.
- How it ends
- A chart is won when every plain square is painted and every window agrees; there is no loss state.
- Record
- Only the first completed time on each chart can rank; replays are practice and keep that first time.
- Paint every unnumbered square ivory or ink. A numbered window sees only matching plain panes in four straight directions. The first opposite-colour pane, any other numbered window, or the edge stops a sightline; a numbered window never counts itself.
- In the worked picture, two ivory 1 windows both count the single ivory pane between them. The numbered windows stop each other’s sightline. With its count full, the left window forces the plain pane above it to ink.
- Tap a plain pane to cycle blank, ivory, ink, blank, or choose a direct paint or erase tool. Tap a numbered window to highlight the matching plain panes it currently sees. Restart clears marks while the first-opening clock keeps running. Every legal full paint completes the chart; only its first completed time can rank.

Tips for Irasuto
- Start at zero A zero window can make every plain pane it could see take the opposite colour.
- Windows block windows A numbered window ends a sightline even if both windows have the same surround.
- Trace changing views A placed opposite-colour pane can hide all squares behind it from one window.
Questions about this game
Does a numbered window count itself?
No. Only unnumbered panes count, and any numbered window stops another window’s sightline.
Can I make a legal move that differs from the pictured answer?
Yes. The game accepts any complete paint that obeys every window. Each shipped chart was proved to have one answer.
Can I improve my first time on replay?
No. Only the first completed time for each chart can rank; replay is practice.
160 original charts independently proved unique and solvable by local no-guess deductions. Private answer witnesses never ship. Saves use morass.irasuto.v1. No ads or analytics run inside the game.

About Irasuto
In an Orenvalt glazier’s workshop, restore a night-glass window by painting plain panes ivory or ink. Each numbered pane tells you how many matching plain panes it can see straight outward.
The 160 original charts are open across four shelves. Every one has a single independently proved answer and a chain of local deductions that needs no guess.
The first completed time stays with each chart. Finish a fresh chart on the game page to compete for its named best; replay is practice.
