How to play

Goal
Fill every row with 0–9 once, keep equal digits from touching by sides or corners, and make each column add up to its target.
How it ends
A chart finishes when every digit, row and column agrees; Undo and Erase repair mistakes, so there is no loss state.
Record
The fastest uninterrupted first solve of each chart is kept with its holder’s name; replay is practice.
Worked visual example for Tenner Grid
Worked example. See the rule happen, then follow the numbered rules below.
  1. Fill each row with every digit from 0 through 9 exactly once. Zero is a real digit; an empty cell has no digit. Printed givens cannot change.
  2. Equal digits must not touch by a side or a corner. Equal digits may repeat farther apart in a column, and non-neighbouring rows may match.
  3. Add every column to match its target above the grid. Targets are outside the playable rows. In the worked example, 0 + 4 + 0 = 4; a row separates the two zeros.
  4. Select a cell, then tap or type its digit. Notes are optional pencil marks. Erase, Undo and Redo repair mistakes.
  5. On phones, switch between columns 1–6 and 5–10. The four-row chart may scroll vertically on short screens; Show lower rows helps reach it.
  6. Restart keeps the first clock. Reload preserves ink, notes and Undo; resumed finishes stay local. Replay is practice.

Tips for Tenner Grid

  • Start with one blank Subtract the other digits from a column target when only one blank remains.
  • Use the row inventory A row missing one digit is forced even before checking its column.
  • Watch diagonal neighbours A matching digit one row away and one column across still touches.
  • Keep zero in mind Zero contributes nothing to a sum but still occupies its place in the row.

Questions about this game

Can a column repeat a digit?

Yes, if the equal digits do not touch. A row between them is enough.

Does zero mean empty?

No. Zero is one of the ten digits. Erase makes a cell empty.

Are the target numbers a row?

No. They sit outside the playable grid and describe column totals.

Does changing the phone view create another chart?

No. The two views overlap in columns 5 and 6 and share one ten-column chart.

Can Replay improve my first time?

No. Your first finish remains saved; Replay is practice.

All charts are open. Notes are optional and never count toward completion. Your first finish stays unchanged; Replay is practice.

About Tenner Grid

Complete a lamplit ledger with large decimal digits. Row uniqueness, touching neighbours and column totals work together to force the missing entries.

All 160 original charts are open: sixteen with two rows, seventy-two with three and seventy-two with four. Each has one independently verified ending and a complete deduction path.

Phones show two overlapping six-column views of the same ten-column chart; targets stay with their numbered columns.
