Achievements

All 100 achievements with exactly how each is counted; five stay sealed.

All 100 achievements, each a line in the narrator's ledger. The title screen's Achievements lists them as The deeds, read back, earned across every journey on the computer. Five are sealed until earned, in the game and here. Each entry says how the game counts it.

Entry the FirstOne traveler, received into the Hollow Fields. Account opened.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted when the first main quest of the Hollow Fields, The Road In, completes: read the clerk's board at Tallow's Cross.
Rope, Cut HighThe chapel found sealed and its bell silenced. Someone did not wish this parish heard.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted when the main quest The Cut Rope completes: with The Road In done, reach the sealed Cut-Bell Chapel (the Chapel Forecourt). The quest chain is strictly in order, so passing the chapel before reading the board does not count; you must be there while The Cut Rope is the active quest.
Seven Entries ClosedSeven of the parish dead put back down along the sexton's trail. A tidy column, if a grim one.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted when the main quest The Sexton's Trail completes: seven walkers put down in the Hollow Fields. Walkers killed earlier in the region (including those the chapel bell calls up) already count, and it does not matter what kills them; the quest still completes in chain order.
Account Outstanding: SettledThe Ploughman's furrow, closed by force of arms.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted the moment The Ploughman (the bounty on Tallow's Cross board, near Gallow Barn in the Hollow Fields) dies, whoever or whatever kills him. You do not need to have read his writ first.
The Office VacatedOne sexton, twice over. The rope re-hung.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted the moment the Old Sexton, the Hollow Fields' climax boss in the chapel graveyard (main quest The Predecessor), dies.
First FolioThe Hollow Fields, walked end to end. Every entry closed.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted when the last Hollow Fields main quest, First Bell, completes: after the Old Sexton is dead, reach the Boundary Stones. Only the main quest chain is required; bounties, letters and side stories are not.
Second FolioThe tithe road walked to its far end. Whatever else may be said of the collectors, they keep better books than the parish did.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted the first time you arrive in the Tithe Woods, i.e. as soon as you cross the Boundary Stones after the Hollow Fields climax. Nothing in the Tithe Woods has to be done.
The Believer, DisbelievedOne watch-captain who had begun to trust his own paperwork. The paperwork did not return the sentiment.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted the moment the Watch-Captain, the Tithe Woods' climax boss (main quest The Watch-Captain's Paperwork), dies, whoever kills him.
Vigil DischargedA vigil stood down, a barrow opened, and a road east that no longer requires argument.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted at the same moment as The Believer, Disbelieved: when the Watch-Captain dies, the road east opens and this entry is recorded.
Third FolioThe wind-stair climbed. Up here the province keeps its older records, and its colder ones.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted the first time you arrive in the Vane Tors (after the Tithe Woods climax, at the Archive Barrow seam).
Secret achievementEarn this achievement in-game to reveal its details.

The game keeps this achievement hidden until it is earned.

A Soldier Reads the SumThe archivist did the arithmetic her garrison would not. It is not a difficult sum. It is only an unwelcome one.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted when the Vane Tors main quest The Archivist's Shadow completes: the Archivist's Shadow (also a writ on the Tor Watch board) put down. The quest chain is in order, so it is credited once The Wind-Stair Overlook is done; killing the Shadow earlier still counts.
The Lord's Own HandThe chief lieutenant, settled in a burning bailey. The lord's authority is now, strictly, self-administered.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted the moment the Chief Lieutenant, the Vane Tors' climax boss at the Ruined Bailey (main quest The Chief Lieutenant), dies.
Fourth FolioAdmitted at last to the seat itself. Whole glass, full stalls, and a bill nobody in the market has been shown.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted the first time you arrive in Vaneholt, the fourth region (after the Vane Tors climax).
The Household Turns Its PageSteward, captain, kin: each shown the column they had been reading around. None of them argued twice.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted when the Vaneholt main quest The Manor Approach completes: after What's Kept Below (the Undercroft Thing put down), reach the manor approach.

What the Bell HeldThe sunken orchard settles. Seven who drowned owing nothing walk no further.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted when the Hollow Fields side story What the Bell Held completes: seven Restless Dead put down in the Sunken Orchard. Only Restless Dead that die while you are in the Hollow Fields count, by any killer.
The Shepherd's CountThree shepherds under their own cairns at last. The flock, I note, had never left them.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted when the Hollow Fields side story The Shepherd's Count completes: all three Shepherd's Dead in the Shepherd's Cairn Field put down.
A Reader of Other People's MailThree letters read. I approve of thoroughness in others.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted after you read any three letters on one character. The clerk's board posters and the Chapel's Last Prayer vigil are not letters.
The Whole CorrespondenceEvery letter in the province read, including the ones their writers meant to burn.

How it is counted

Rule
Read all 21 letters in the province: 5 in the Hollow Fields, 5 in the Tithe Woods, 5 in the Vane Tors and 6 in Vaneholt (the Chapel's Last Prayer in Vaneholt is a vigil, not a letter, and does not count). Each read adds one to a running total, so letters read again in New Game+ also count. Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
First Writ DischargedOne name off the board. The board keeps a small ledger of its own, and it is now one line shorter.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted when the first bounty (writ) on any clerk's board is closed. A writ closes when its named target dies, whoever kills it and whether or not you read the poster; a pack writ (several bodies of one name) closes when the last one falls.
Tallow's Cross Board, ClearedSix writs from one parish board, all discharged. The clerk has begun writing them in a neater hand.

How it is counted

Rule
Close all six Hollow Fields writs: The Ploughman, The Widow's Geese, The Tally-Boy's Debt, The Cairn Keeper, Two Left in the Ledger and The Bell-Ringer's Understudy. Counted only while you are in the Hollow Fields.
Drowned Elm Board, ClearedSix writs off a board that is mostly damp. Local business, as bounties always are.

How it is counted

Rule
Close all six Tithe Woods writs: The Tithe Collector, The Drowned Elm's Namesake, The Apprentice, Preserved, The Ledger-Camp Casters (all three), The Bone-Line Bear and The Watch-Captain's Second.
Tor Watch Board, ClearedSix writs off a garrison board. Soldiers post the tidiest ones and pay the worst.

How it is counted

Rule
Close all six Vane Tors writs: The Signal Corps' Keepers (all three must fall close together or they re-light), The Wind-Stair Ambusher, The Archivist's Shadow, The Captain of the Fallen Watch, The Tor Wolves' Alpha and The Garrison's Deserters (both).
Hall Market Board, ClearedSix writs off a board in a market that pretends it has no trouble at all.

How it is counted

Rule
Close all six Vaneholt writs: The Steward's Courier, The Guildhall Rioters' Captain, The Undercroft Thing, The Manor Guard, Turned, The Vane Watchers (both) and The Chapel's Last Prayer. The last one is closed by finding its vigil in Vaneholt and keeping it while no fight is going on, not by killing anything.
Every Writ DischargedEvery posted hunt in the province, closed. The boards stand empty and the clerks are visibly at a loss.

How it is counted

Rule
Close all 24 writs in the province (six on each of the four boards). Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
Widow's Geese, Accounted ForSix geese, each individually beneath notice. Collectively, a riot. Filed under aggregation.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted when the last of The Widow's Geese (a flock of seven fast geese near the Shepherd's Cairn Field, a writ on the Tallow's Cross board) dies.
Two Left in the LedgerA pair, and the one that ran told the other. Fleeing is a form of correspondence.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted when both of Two Left in the Ledger (an elite pair near the Boundary Stones road, a Tallow's Cross writ) are dead.
The Parish's Own BusinessThree small sorrows of the Hollow Fields, heard out and filed. None of them concerned me. I listened anyway.

How it is counted

Rule
Complete all three Hollow Fields side stories: What the Bell Held (7 Restless Dead), The Shepherd's Count (3 Shepherd's Dead) and The Standing Tenants (5 Standing Tenants).
Twelve Small Sorrows, FiledEvery side story in the province seen through. Most ledgers omit these. Mine does not.

How it is counted

Rule
Complete all 12 side stories, three per region. Hollow Fields: What the Bell Held, The Shepherd's Count, The Standing Tenants. Tithe Woods: The Bone Line (kill 3 Bog Boars), Chase and Corner, What the Water Kept. Vane Tors: Tor Wolves (kill 4 Tor Wolves), The Alpha, The Last Watchman. Vaneholt: The Steward's List, Manor Guard, Turned, The Anonymous Door. Two of them require killing animals, so this cannot be earned on the same character as The Flock Intact.
Four Folios, Four QuestionsEach region's own question asked and answered. The province is now better documented than it is comfortable with.

How it is counted

Rule
Finish the main quest chain of all four regions (the last main quest of each: First Bell, Felled Bridge, What Was Saved, The Final Audit). Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
Final Notice, ServedOne hundred final notices served, none of them appealed. The Warden's paperwork is admirably brief.

How it is counted

Rule
Warden only: cast Final Notice (the Warden's starting fourth-slot spell) 100 times. Counts each CAST of the spell (a cast that hits nothing still counts; extra hits or targets do not add more). Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
The Order StandsA hundred kill orders issued. The prey is never consulted, which is rather the point of an order.

How it is counted

Rule
Huntsman only: cast Kill Order (the Huntsman's starting fourth-slot spell) 100 times. Counts each CAST of the spell (a cast that hits nothing still counts; extra hits or targets do not add more). Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
Sundry DamagesA hundred times the air itself was billed for standing where it stood.

How it is counted

Rule
Magus only: cast Sunder the Air 100 times. It is not a starting spell: it becomes a fourth-slot choice at level 16 and must be swapped in (out of combat) in place of Pyre Column. Counts each CAST of the spell (a cast that hits nothing still counts; extra hits or targets do not add more). Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
Labour CostsFive hundred bodies returned to work. The parish register cannot keep pace and has stopped trying.

How it is counted

Rule
Gravecaller only: raise 500 minions in total. Every summon cast adds the number of bodies it calls up (Raise Shambler 3, Bonearcher 2, Pallbearers 2, Gravehound 1, Army of the Hour 4, plus one more per cast with the Gravekeeper passive, and more with count-raising runes), even if older minions are dismissed to make room. Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
The Reckoning, RenderedA hundred judgments rendered, each with the confidence of someone who has read the terms exactly once.

How it is counted

Rule
Vowbound only: cast Final Reckoning (the Vowbound's starting fourth-slot spell) 100 times. Counts each CAST of the spell (a cast that hits nothing still counts; extra hits or targets do not add more). Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
A Thousand Small EntriesA hundred murders done in the dark. The dark, I should note, is not a defence — it is only poor lighting.

How it is counted

Rule
Shade only: cast Thousand Cuts (the Shade's starting fourth-slot spell) 100 times. Counts each CAST of the spell (a cast that hits nothing still counts; extra hits or targets do not add more). Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
The Marsh Presents Its BillA hundred times the bog was invited to collect on its own behalf. It required no encouragement.

How it is counted

Rule
Bog-Shaman only: cast Wrath of the Marsh (the Bog-Shaman's starting fourth-slot spell) 100 times. Counts each CAST of the spell (a cast that hits nothing still counts; extra hits or targets do not add more). Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
The Great Toll, TolledA hundred tolls struck. Bells and I are in the same trade: we announce what is already owed.

How it is counted

Rule
Bellringer only: cast Toll of Judgment (the Bellringer's starting fourth-slot spell) 100 times. Counts each CAST of the spell (a cast that hits nothing still counts; extra hits or targets do not add more). Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
Sound PracticeThe bell consulted mid-audit. Resourceful, if loud.

How it is counted

Rule
Pull the bell-rope at the Cut-Bell Chapel while the Old Sexton is fighting you near it. The rope does nothing (and counts nothing) outside that boss fight; it has two pulls, each knocks the Sexton down and calls a wave of walkers.
Margin of ErrorTen blows that met only the air where you had lately been. The account records no deduction.

How it is counted

Rule
Dodge-roll through 10 enemy attacks. A dodge counts when an enemy blow (or an armed ground burst from a Volatile/Tolling elite) would have hit you during your roll's invulnerable window; simply walking out of reach does not count. Counted per character.
A Practised HandDodge five hundred blows outright. Let the entry establish whether it was technique rather than luck.

How it is counted

Rule
Roll through 500 enemy blows during the dodge-roll's invulnerable window. Only enemy weapon swings and shots count here (ground bursts do not). Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
Read It Back to HimThree recitations interrupted mid-clause. Discourteous. Effective.

How it is counted

Rule
Interrupt three enemy chants. Chanting casters (the Ledger Clerks in the Hollow Fields, Tithe Cultists in the Tithe Woods, Signal Corps Keepers in the Vane Tors) charge a 3-second chant when you are within 10 m; any damage or a Silence on them while they chant breaks it. Counted per character.
Objection OverruledA ward broken before it could be entered into evidence.

How it is counted

Rule
Break an enemy's absorb shield (the pale ward some enemies carry, such as the Old Sexton in the Hollow Fields), either by damaging through it or with a guard-breaking rune.
Down to the Last ThirdThe account read down to its final third. What could be shed was shed.

How it is counted

Rule
Bring any region boss (the Old Sexton is the first) from above to at or below one third of its health with a hit it survives. Elites do not count; only boss-tier enemies have the one-third threshold.
Stillness, EnforcedA thousand held, frozen or knocked flat. One hook per cast, and you have used every one of them.

How it is counted

Rule
Land 1,000 hard crowd-control effects: stuns, freezes, knockdowns and fears applied directly by your spells, runes, traps, minions or the chapel bell. Each enemy affected counts separately; an application the enemy resists or that is cut by diminishing returns does not count, and freezes built up from chill stacks or stuns from shock stacks are not counted. Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
Nothing WastedA hundred corpses put to further use. Waste is the only sin this ledger recognises.

How it is counted

Rule
Gravecaller only: use up 100 corpses. A corpse is used when Corpse Burst or Last Rites is cast with a corpse in range, or a raise with a corpse-eating rune feeds on one. Corpses kept by the Waste Reclaimed passive are not used up and do not count. Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
Improvised AccountingTwenty-five rites performed with no body to hand. Improvisation is not, strictly, an error.

How it is counted

Rule
Gravecaller only: cast Corpse Burst or Last Rites 25 times with no corpse in range (any corpse-less cast counts, including with runes that make it corpse-free). Casts made while the Last Rites Reversed capstone passive is taken do not count. Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
Errata AppliedAll four spells amended in the margin at once. They do as written, and then as re-written.

How it is counted

Rule
Have a rune socketed on all four of your equipped spells at the same time. Possible from level 4, when every starting spell has its first rune; checked continuously.
No Draught RequiredA miniboss settled with the flask unopened. I have audited worse arithmetic.

How it is counted

Rule
Kill any elite or boss (named bounties, roaming pack leaders and region bosses all count) without drinking your flask during that fight. Drinking before the fight starts is fine.
No DeductionA named hunter settled without the account paying a drop.

How it is counted

Rule
Have any elite or boss die without it ever having landed one of its own blows on you. Its adds, ground bursts and chants are not counted against it, and it does not matter who lands the kill.
First AmendmentOne rune aspect fitted. The spell now reads slightly differently, and means it.

How it is counted

Rule
Socket a rune (aspect) on any one equipped spell. Runes start unlocking at level 3.
One Spell, Six ReadingsAll six aspects unlocked on a single spell. Six ways of saying the same thing, all of them binding.

How it is counted

Rule
Reach level 39, when the first of your spells has all six of its runes unlocked. Runes unlock by level alone; you do not have to socket them or own the spell.
The Complete ErrataNinety-six aspects unlocked. The class has been read down to its last footnote.

How it is counted

Rule
Reach level 46, when all 96 runes of your class (6 for each of its 16 spells) are unlocked. Purely level-based.
A Standing InstructionOne passive taken: a rule you no longer have to remember to follow.

How it is counted

Rule
Choose your first passive (the first passive slot opens at level 3).
Seven Standing InstructionsAll seven passive slots filled. A policy, at this point, rather than a preference.

How it is counted

Rule
Reach level 40 (when the seventh passive slot opens) and have all seven passive slots filled at once. Checked continuously.
The Closing SignatureFour runed spells, seven standing instructions, eleven worn pieces. Every clause bears its seal.

How it is counted

Rule
At one moment have all four equipped spells runed, all seven passive slots filled (level 40 or higher) and all eleven equipment slots occupied.
Eleven Entries, All FilledEvery slot on the doll occupied at once. A complete inventory is its own quiet pleasure.

How it is counted

Rule
Wear something in all eleven equipment slots at once: weapon, off-hand, head, chest, gloves, belt, legs, boots, amulet and both rings (the starting kit does not fill them all).
A Rare Set of BooksAll eleven slots rare or better. Somebody has been reading the affix tables.

How it is counted

Rule
Wear rare or unique items in all eleven equipment slots at once. The provisioner's rare-quality purchases are a reliable way to fill gaps.
Named in the InventoryA first unique. Named things are harder to lose and harder to forget — that is what a name is for.

How it is counted

Rule
Have your first unique drop. A unique counts the moment it falls from a slain elite (2% chance) or boss (25% chance), even if you never pick it up; each of the 12 uniques can drop only once per playthrough, and only those of the current region or earlier. Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
Five Named ThingsFive uniques recovered. The province is emptier of interesting objects than it was.

How it is counted

Rule
Have five uniques drop on one character (first playthrough and New Game+ combined). Drops count when they fall, not when picked up. Luck-dependent: a full playthrough averages roughly two.
The Whole Named ColumnAll twelve names in the column entered. I did not expect the drop tables to permit it. They did, eventually.

How it is counted

Rule
Have all 12 different uniques drop on one character (duplicates do not add). Each unique can only drop once per playthrough, and a character gets one New Game+, so this is very luck-dependent.
Amended TermsTwelve amendments to the terms of one's own violence. I approve of a client who revises; it means the first draft was read.

How it is counted

Rule
Swap a spell in one of your slots for another 12 times (out of combat). Each successful swap counts, including swapping back. Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
One Draught TakenA flask opened mid-column. The account permits it; the account is not made of stone.

How it is counted

Rule
Drink your flask once. It only works (and counts) when you are below full health and it is off cooldown.
Habitual RecourseFifty draughts. The flask has been the most reliable party to this whole arrangement.

How it is counted

Rule
Drink your flask 50 times. Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
The Good FlaskThe fourth potion tier bought outright — thirteen hundred gold not spent on anything else, and it cleanses on the way down.

How it is counted

Rule
Buy all four flask strengthenings from the apothecary at any hub (base prices 350, 750, 1,000 and 1,300 gold, bought in order, one at a time). Counted when the fourth is bought.
A Speculative EntryOne unmarked purchase taken at the vendor's counter. The odds were disclosed. That is all disclosure can do.

How it is counted

Rule
Buy one sealed piece from the provisioner at any hub (any slot, magic or rare quality).
A Regular at the CounterTen rolls bought. The vendor greets you by name now, which is not a compliment.

How it is counted

Rule
Make 10 provisioner purchases in total. Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
Rare, and Dearly BoughtA rare pulled off the vendor's unmarked tray. It happens. It is priced as though it happened rather more.

How it is counted

Rule
Buy one rare-quality piece from the provisioner. Choosing rare quality always gives a rare, so this is guaranteed once you can afford it.
Under Ten Per CentFour and a half thousand across a counter. You end holding less than a tenth of what passed through your hands, which is precisely what the sink was built to do.

How it is counted

Rule
Spend 4,500 gold in total at the provisioner (the actual price paid for each sealed piece). Flask upgrades and other spending do not count. Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
First DisposalThe junk flag used in anger. Trash into coin: the only transmutation this province permits.

How it is counted

Rule
Sell your marked goods at the broker once, with at least one item marked. Items are marked automatically when they are worse than what you wear, or you can mark them yourself.
Twenty Items, One MotionTwenty pieces sold in a single gesture. Bulk is its own courtesy to the clerk.

How it is counted

Rule
Sell 20 or more marked items in a single 'Sell marked goods' press at the broker.
Five Thousand, All ToldFive thousand through your hands, off the road and across the counter. Nothing here repopulates; every coin of it was somebody's last.

How it is counted

Rule
Earn 5,000 gold in total: gold you pick up (after any gold-find bonus) plus gold from the broker. Spending does not subtract. Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
The Chapel ForecourtGround marked safe enough to return to, beneath a rope cut high from the inside.

How it is counted

Rule
Touch the Chapel Forecourt checkpoint at the Cut-Bell Chapel in the Hollow Fields.
The Edge of the ColumnThe boundary stones. Here one arithmetic ends and another begins.

How it is counted

Rule
Touch the Boundary Stones checkpoint at the east end of the Hollow Fields.
Every Waypost NotedAll twelve waypoints along the walk, noted and kept. You will not have to walk any of it twice.

How it is counted

Rule
Touch all 12 checkpoints, three per region: Tallow's Cross, the Chapel Forecourt, the Boundary Stones; the Drowned Elm, the Sunken Chapel Yard, the Archive Barrow; Tor Watch, the Wind-Stair Midpoint, the Ruined Bailey; the Hall Market, the Upper Wards, the Manor Approach.
The Sunken OrchardA flooded field, kept quieter than a field ought to be. People hide things in water and are surprised that water keeps them.

How it is counted

Rule
Walk into the Sunken Orchard, the flooded pocket south of the road in the Hollow Fields.
Three Pockets of the FieldsOrchard, barn and cairn field, all walked. The Hollow Fields keep nothing back now.

How it is counted

Rule
Walk into all three Hollow Fields pockets: the Sunken Orchard, Gallow Barn and the Shepherd's Cairn Field.
Twelve Corners of the ProvinceEvery pocket off every spine, entered. Thoroughness of this order is usually my job.

How it is counted

Rule
Walk into all 12 pockets, three per region. Hollow Fields: the Sunken Orchard, Gallow Barn, the Shepherd's Cairn Field. Tithe Woods: the Drowned Village, the Ledger Camp, the Trapper's Bone Line. The Vane Tors and Vaneholt hold three each, which the wiki leaves for you to find. Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
Entered Under Vendor-MeatOne moor sheep: no experience, three copper. The province notices these things even when I decline to.

How it is counted

Rule
Counted when any Moor Sheep (the grazing animals of the Hollow Fields) dies, by any hand. Doing this rules out The Flock Intact for this character.
The Flock IntactThe whole walk finished and not one animal put on the tally. Nothing here comes back; you left what could not be replaced.

How it is counted

Rule
Finish the campaign (win its last fight) with no animal having died on this character: no Moor Sheep, Bog Boar or Tor Wolf, killed by anyone, including your minions, traps or area damage (sheep graze in the Shepherd's Cairn Field, where a side-story fight happens). The count includes everything before New Game+, so it can only be earned on a first playthrough that never killed one. It cannot be combined on one character with Entered Under Vendor-Meat or with the side stories The Bone Line and Tor Wolves (so not with Twelve Small Sorrows or Nothing Left Outstanding).
The Way Smart People Don't GoThe orchard dike crossed, waist-deep and patrolled. Faster it is not. Passable it is.

How it is counted

Rule
Walk into the Orchard Dike, the waist-deep wilderness crossing beside the Sunken Orchard in the Hollow Fields.
Four Bad RoadsAll four wilderness crossings walked. Each of them worse than the road, and each of them yours.

How it is counted

Rule
Walk into all four wilderness crossings: the Orchard Dike (Hollow Fields), the Flooded Lane (Tithe Woods), the Scree Slope (Vane Tors) and the Servants' Entrance (Vaneholt). Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
Ahead of the PaperworkFelled the thing the region was named for while every one of its smaller sorrows was still open. The ground is settled; the story is simply not yet due.

How it is counted

Rule
Kill a region's climax boss while none of that region's three side stories is finished yet. Any region works; the Old Sexton in the Hollow Fields is the easiest chance. Side stories can finish by accident (for example by killing their monsters on the way), so check your journal before the fight.
Every Landmark NotedSixteen landmarks logged. A map made by walking is the only kind I trust.

How it is counted

Rule
Walk past all 16 landmarks, four per region. Hollow Fields: the Cut-Bell Chapel, the Boundary Stones, the Tallow Well, Gallows Hill. Tithe Woods: the Sunken Chapel Yard, the Archive Barrow, the Forest Shrine, the Causeway Midspan. The Vane Tors and Vaneholt hold four each, which the wiki leaves for you to find. Progress is kept per character (save) and carries into that character's New Game+.
Four Counters, Four ClerksEvery hub visited. Four clerks, four boards, and four wholly different opinions of you.

How it is counted

Rule
Touch the hub checkpoint of all four regions: Tallow's Cross, the Drowned Elm, Tor Watch and the Hall Market. You arrive at each hub when you enter its region, so this is earned on arriving in Vaneholt.
Compound InterestLevel ten. The account grows.

How it is counted

Rule
Reach level 10.
The Twentieth EntryLevel twenty. Growth of this sort is the only kind the province still manages honestly.

How it is counted

Rule
Reach level 20.
The Spine-Only SumLevel thirty-eight — the main column alone, and very nearly enough. It was calibrated to be very nearly enough.

How it is counted

Rule
Reach level 38. Any source of experience counts; doing only the main quests lands you close to it.
The Ledger's CeilingLevel fifty. There is no fifty-one. I checked; I check everything.

How it is counted

Rule
Reach level 50, the cap. A complete first playthrough ends around level 48, so this normally needs New Game+ (your level carries over).
One Hundred and FiveOne hundred and five units of experience, the second reading included — five above the requirement. I do enjoy a margin.

How it is counted

Rule
Earn 105 experience units in total on one character, counting the first playthrough and New Game+ together; experience earned at the level cap still counts. Reaching level 50 takes about 100, so this needs a little beyond the cap, which in practice means New Game+.
Nothing Left OutstandingEvery optional entry closed before the final audit. Late supplementary entries are permitted. They are not preferred.

How it is counted

Rule
Before winning The Final Audit (Vaneholt's last main quest), have closed all 24 writs and all 12 side stories. Checked only at that moment. Because two side stories require killing animals, this cannot be combined with The Flock Intact on one character.
A Region Without a DeductionOne whole region walked with nothing ever recovered from a corpse of your own.

How it is counted

Rule
Kill a region's climax boss without having gone down even once since you entered that region. Deaths after the climax don't matter; any one region is enough.
An Unblemished ColumnThe entire walk, start to close, with no deduction taken at any point. Rare. Recorded twice, for my own satisfaction.

How it is counted

Rule
Never go down from the start of a playthrough until you win The Final Audit. A New Game+ run starts its own count, so a deathless New Game+ also earns it.
Secret achievementEarn this achievement in-game to reveal its details.

The game keeps this achievement hidden until it is earned.

Read Back HarderThe whole account read a second time, at interest. It did not get shorter.

How it is counted

Rule
Finish the campaign again in New Game+ (win its last fight on the New Game+ run).
The Deferred EntriesFour entries the first walk never itemised, found on the second reading. They were always in the margin.

How it is counted

Rule
Have four uniques drop during your New Game+ run (drops count when they fall). Uniques found on the first playthrough do not count, but every unique can drop again in New Game+.
Eight Hands, One LedgerEight different callings have now walked the Hollow Fields on this ledger. The ground did not care which.

How it is counted

Rule
Kill the Old Sexton, the Hollow Fields climax boss, with a character of each of the eight classes (Warden, Magus, Gravecaller, Huntsman, Shade, Vowbound, Bog-Shaman, Bellringer). Unlike the other entries this is tracked across all your characters on the profile; it is awarded when the eighth class does it, or at the start of any later run.
