A Region Without a Deduction

A Region Without a Deduction
One whole region walked with nothing ever recovered from a corpse of your own.

Counted when a region's boss dies and you have not gone down once since you entered that region. Going down after the boss does not matter, and any one region is enough. The Hollow Fields is the shortest: its boss is the Old Sexton, at the end of the main quest chain.

Route

1. Walk the main quests only: the clerk's board at Tallow's Cross, the road east to the Cut-Bell Chapel, the Ploughman at Gallow Barn, then the Old Sexton behind the chapel. Each fight you skip is one you cannot lose; the recorded run took under seven minutes of play from New Game to the Sexton's death.
2. Let the road level you. The run reached the chapel at level 5 and fought the Sexton at level 7, from the walkers, bowmen and clerks that came at it on the road and the Ploughman's bounty.
3. Use the flask (Q) early rather than late. The run drank once against the Ploughman and twice against the Sexton; its lowest point was 61 of 212 life, with the Sexton at 545 of 1,400.
4. Read the Sexton's fight before you start it: his ward, the bell-rope and the walkers it calls are in the Old Sexton guide.

What goes wrong

• Going down anywhere in the region spoils that region, on the road as much as in a fight. If it happens, the next region is a fresh chance.
• The Bell-Ringer's Understudy, a bounty near the chapel graveyard, can join the Sexton fight. In the recorded run it joined, and the Sexton still fell first.

The recorded run

One Huntsman run from New Game, recorded at normal game speed. The same run earned Ahead of the Paperwork, Read It Back to Him, No Deduction and the Old Sexton's achievements.
