Endgame
Defeat the War Table with each of its five pieces as the last one standing, every hero alive at the end.

An achievement of the War Table, counted in five ticks: one for each piece that is the last one standing in a won fight. Winning five times with the same last piece counts once, so it takes at least five victories, each ending on a different piece. A fight that is lost earns nothing, and in a group a hero who dies fails it.

Endgame: the War Table with a different last piece each time

The video is a female Alchemist, drawn at random from the classes no other guide uses, and the piece she leaves for last is the King. She killed the Knight first, then the Bishop, the Queen and the Rook, and the King fell 2 minutes 36 seconds after the pull. She was never hit, so the cards show Float Like a Butterfly (The Immortal Game on this boss), Endgame at 1 of 5, Opening Gambit at 1 of 5, because the Knight also fell first, and the Alchemist's class ladder, Magnum Opus. The King's last words are “The board is yours.”

How to earn it

  1. Pick the piece you will leave for last before the fight and keep your spells off it until the other four are dead. The Queen and the King stand only about 13 degrees apart as seen from the middle, and an aimed spell keeps the piece last struck while the aim stays inside its cone, so watch which health bar is in front.
  2. Kill the others one at a time, as always: each death heals the survivors and teaches them its spell, and spreading your damage lets those heals add up. The piece you left learns every spell, so it casts five patterns every 4 s by the end, one after another every 0.8 s.
  3. Use the 2 s hush after each death to move to your next target and your next clear square: the hush is the only time nothing new can be cast.
  4. When one piece is left, kill it. It ends the fight in its own way, and the card pops up after VICTORY.
  5. Do it again with each other piece last: the Rook, the Bishop, the Queen, the Knight.

It pairs with Opening Gambit, which counts the first piece instead of the last: one fight can move both.
