Testing the Waters
Defeat the Quench-Smith with no hero spending more than 12 seconds in the pools over the whole fight.

An achievement of the Quench-Smith. The 12 seconds are all the time in all four pools together, from the end of his intro to his death, for each hero separately; in a group every hero must keep inside it, and a hero who dies fails it. You are in a pool while your body touches the drawn water.

The hero in the video is the seed measured for this challenge when the boss was built.

The video is a male Shade. He won 1:23 after the pull with 4.1 seconds in the pools in all and was never hit, so the cards show Float Like a Butterfly, Testing the Waters and the Shade's class ladder, Beyond a Shadow of a Doubt.

How to earn it

  1. Fight on the dry floor: until 75% nothing needs the water, so walk out of each Slag Stream circle onto dry iron.
  2. The Lava Burst from 75% is the only reason to get wet. Wait at the edge of the nearest pool and dip in just before the floor bursts, when the flames in the grid are about to go up, then step straight out.
  3. From 50% the geysers cannot touch you: you are never in the water when they erupt.
  4. Immunity (1.5 s, 45 s cooldown) covers a Lava Burst with no time in the water at all, if the dips are adding up.

The proof: the card after the win.

It is the opposite of In Deep Water: the two are never earned in the same fight.
