Master of the Quarter
Reach the capstone seat of all three civic authorities in one life — every crown the city offers, worn once.

Rule: at some point in one life you must have held Board Speaker, Chamberlain's Officer and Charter-Keeper. The game remembers the highest seat you reached on each ladder, so you never need all three at once. That is the whole trick: every rung you hold on one ladder counts 15 against your bids on the other two, so climb them one at a time and let go of the Board when you are done with it.

What each top seat needs

Board Speaker

Sit as Board Senior first, then commoner standing of 85 and 13,000 Bits in hand. Your bid is standing plus up to 40 for wealth plus Alderman Vel's goodwill.

Chamberlain's Officer

2,500 Bits and Clerk Oresby at regard 40 or more. Your bid is one point per 100 Bits in the purse (up to 80) plus half of Oresby's regard.

Charter-Keeper

14 achievements earned in this life and Solvath Brennaveth at regard 40 or more. Your bid is six points per achievement plus half of Brennaveth's regard, so by then it is the easy one.

Route

1. Start a Ward of the Concord, no traits. Set Settings → Auto-pause to Monthly and let Auto (Space) run the days; act at each stop.
2. The Board first. Follow the Speaker of the Board route: half-price staples in Confluence Spit, a hired manager, the guild (Q), feasts (Shift+K), relief in a crisis (D) and Hush runs (Y) while suspicion is under 20. Stand for each Board seat (O) at 55% odds or better, and bid for nothing on the other ladders yet.
3. Resign the Board (Shift+O) once you have sat as Speaker. The seat is remembered, and resigning removes the 45 points it would count against your Crown and Secretariat bids.
4. Win the two patrons. Select Clerk Oresby, then Solvath Brennaveth, with P and give gifts (J, +4 regard each) at every monthly stop until both are above 40. Keep them there; regard drifts back down.
5. The Crown next (C): Crown Factor, Harbor-Master, then Chamberlain's Officer, each at 55% odds or better. Keep 8,000 Bits or more in the purse to max out the wealth part of the bid.
6. The Secretariat last (S): Archivist, Senior Archivist, then Charter-Keeper. The Crown seats now count against you, but a life this long has earned dozens of achievements, which outweigh it.

This run sat as Board Speaker on day 669, resigned, won Chamberlain's Officer on day 1111 and Charter-Keeper on day 1351, and earned Master of the Quarter the next day (Year 4, Harvest 27), aged 21. Every bid went in at 100% odds; what held each seat back were its purse, patron and achievement requirements. The same route earned the achievement in 11 of 12 worlds, by day 2170 in the middle one; the one that failed stalled at Board Senior, so if your standing will not reach 85, the rest of the route never starts. Your world will not match this one day for day: prices, figures' moods and catastrophes come from the world you are playing. The decisions are the same.
