Weather the Storm
Defeat the Siege-Mistress without anyone ever standing under a shelter.
An achievement of the Siege-Mistress. Nobody in the party may stand under one of the five shelters at any moment of the fight, not even passing through.
The hero in the video was drawn at random, class and body, to show that any hero can earn it; the test player then fought ten seeded fights with that hero and the video is one of the wins that earned it.
The video is a female Beastmaster: she won nine of ten fights and earned it in all nine. This one won in 1:47, taking 40 damage, and two of her own missiles burst on her, so the cards show Weather the Storm, Hoist by Her Own Petard and the Beastmaster's class ladder, Call of the Wild. Filmed before the achievements were renamed, so the cards show the earlier names: Open Sky for Weather the Storm, Return to Sender for Hoist by Her Own Petard, Beastmaster Ladder for Call of the Wild.
How to earn it
- The Ballista Volley is answered in the open anyway: step into the gap between two lanes.
- The Mortar Barrage from 75% is the test. Without the roofs, stand where no shadow grows and step off each dark circle before its shell lands.
- Route round the shelters, never under them: crossing one on the way breaks it.
- From 50% loop the Homing Missile wide, or lead it into her; from 25% step off fire at once.
