Put Down

The Houndmaster with every hound dead when he falls.

The Put Down achievement emblem: the Houndmaster toppling among his dead hounds

Put Down
Defeat the Houndmaster with none of his hounds left alive.

An achievement of the Houndmaster: when he dies, no hound may be alive. A hound killed by his own chains counts as dead too.

Put Down: the Houndmaster with every hound dead

The hero in the video was drawn at random, class and body, to show that any hero can earn it; the test player then fought ten seeded fights with that hero and the video is one of the wins that earned it.

The video is a female Totem Shaman: she won all ten fights and earned it in nine. This one took 4:50, the Shaman took 91 damage, and of ten hounds she killed nine and his chains one. The cards show Put Down and the Totem Shaman Ladder.

How to earn it

  1. The hounds are the target, not him. One more comes out for each hero every 30 seconds, and each has 200 health: kill it as it arrives.
  2. Hit him only while no hound is alive. Ring no whistle post for this one if you can kill instead; roll as the jaws close.
  3. Answer his Chain Lash, Chain Spiral and Kennel Howl as in the boss guide; the chains hurt hounds caught in them too.
  4. Before the last blow, check the kennels: a hound that has just come out must die before he does.

The proof: the card after the win.

It is a long fight, close to five minutes for this Shaman, and the opposite of Good Dog: the two are never earned in the same fight.
