In Deep Water

The Quench-Smith with at most 15 seconds outside the pools.

In Deep Water
Defeat the Quench-Smith with no hero spending more than 15 seconds of the fight outside the pools.

An achievement of the Quench-Smith. The 15 seconds are counted over the whole fight, from the end of his intro to his death, for each hero separately; in a group every hero must keep inside it, and a hero who dies fails it. You are in a pool while your body touches the drawn water.

The hero in the video is a ranged class: in the measurements behind the boss's design a ranged hero kept to the water, while melee heroes and slower casters were pushed out for 17 to 47 seconds.

The video is a female Hunter. She won 2:07 after the pull with 13.0 seconds outside the pools in all and was never hit, so the cards show Float Like a Butterfly, In Deep Water and the Hunter's class ladder, The Most Dangerous Game.

How to earn it

  1. Walk into a pool at the pull (you start on dry floor) and fight from the water: a ranged hero reaches him from anywhere in it.
  2. A Slag Stream circle is 5 m in radius and the pool 4.5 m: step only as far as the circle forces you, and back in.
  3. Until 50% the Lava Burst costs you nothing, since you are already in the water.
  4. From 50% each geyser forces you out: step onto the dry floor just before it erupts and straight back in. These steps are where the 15 seconds go.
  5. From 25% keep stepping away from your golem's wind-up inside the pool, or roll.

The proof: the card after the win.

It is the opposite of Testing the Waters: the two are never earned in the same fight.
