Solved the case of Two as One.

Patron: Halvik Storn, in Dreskmark Market Square. The sheet asks for Culprit, Tell, Motive. Each answer must rest on a finding; a lead only points you onward.

Usually heard from Halvik Storn (one matter at a time, while no other case is open), or Greta Morl (“Ask Greta what she keeps telling them”). You need not wait for it: a case enters your casebook as soon as you hold one of its facts.

Gather the proof

1. Take the Lamp Scorch in Dreskmark Bond-House.
   Finding Fire Was Accident: “The scorch feathers outward from one knocked watch-lamp in the back corner — a mishap that spread, not a blaze laid to destroy.”
2. Take the Strongbox Marks in Dreskmark Bond-House.
   Finding Theft Was Separate: “The strongbox was not forced but turned by a key, opened cold and clean hours after the flames were beaten down — not snatched at in a panic of fire.”
   Lead Fused As One: “The quay tells it as one tidy crime — a ragged man who fired the bond-house to cover himself and robbed the strongbox in the smoke, all of it hung on Dax Fenwick.”
3. Take the Key And Tally in Dreskmark Bond-House.
   Needed before Greta Morl: “Show Morl the key-roster”.
4. Talk to Greta Morl in Dreskmark Bond-House and choose “Show Morl the key-roster”.
   Finding Sool Had The Key: “The bond-clerk Boric Sool is sole-keyed to that strongbox, no spare on the board — on the watch-roll through the fire, and in debt past his wages.”

Keep the order: a topic only appears once you hold the lead or the item it needs.

The trap

These are true findings that point at the wrong story. Presenting a sheet built on them costs a segment of the day and the clean pass.

• Fenwick Broke In makes a wrong sheet presentable (Culprit: Dax Fenwick, Tell: One Crime One Hand, Motive: Drunken Arson Theft). “Dax Fenwick truly did break into the bond-house that night — seen forcing the door and fleeing the flames — the reason the quay hangs the whole night on him.”

Close the case

Stand beside Halvik Storn and present. When the sheet holds, Halvik Storn offers courses; the case closes, and One Hand Revealed unlocks, once you commit to one.
