Gather the proof

1. Take the Private Warehouse Tally in Dreskmark River Docks.
   Needed before Corwin: “Show Corwin the private tally”.
2. Take the Dock Register Page in Dreskmark River Docks.
   Finding Manifest Forged: “The dock register's entry for the sealed lot was altered after signing — the quantity scraped and re-inked in a fresher hand, the receipt mark Hobb's own, not the harbormaster's.”
3. Talk to Corwin in Dreskmark River Docks and choose “Show Corwin the private tally”.
   Finding Hobb Tally Gap: “Hobb's private warehouse tally records the sealed lot received and stored at full value, while his official book writes it off as never-delivered; the goods landed whole on Corwin's crew.”

Keep the order: a topic only appears once you hold the lead or the item it needs.

The trap

• Merrant Claim makes a wrong sheet presentable (Culprit: Selby Merrant, Motive: Claim The Bond). “The vanished lot was Selby Merrant's, bonded through the Concord — and a lost consignment pays him the full insured worth, more than he'd clear selling it honest.”
• Corwin Signed The Lot makes a wrong sheet presentable (Culprit: Corwin). “Corwin signed the sealed, heavy lot onto the dock himself — in order, his mark on the register; it was the last hand the crews could name on it.”
• Goods Resold makes a wrong sheet presentable (Motive: Simple Theft). “”
• Storm Damage Report makes a wrong sheet presentable (Method: Lost To Storm). “A hard squall hit the wharf that week and the dock-master logged it proper — storm-damage for deck cargo swept off open barges; but this lot was sealed and signed on whole.”
